WHO: QueensCare Health Centers, a healthcare provider to low-income members of the Los Angeles community, is joining the Movember movement, encouraging men in the Los Angeles area to have regular health exams to identify potentially life-threatening conditions before it’s too late. Men’s health exams are available for free by appointment at all 5 Los Angeles area QueensCare Health Centers in the Los Angeles area.

WHAT: Earlier this year, Gillette commissioned a study of 1,000 men, which found 75% of respondents put off going to the doctor when showing signs of illness, and that millions of men aren’t monitoring themselves for indicators of diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure or common cancers including: colorectal, prostate and testicular cancer.
