At QueensCare Health Centers we know that managing your medication can be a confusing task. Despite that, it’s vital that you learn about your medications and when and how to take them, to make sure that you are following your doctor’s guidelines. Your health and safety depend on it!

The right pharmacist can make medication management easier, safer, and more successful. To help our patients get the most out of their treatment and care, we partner with the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy for our pharmacy program. USC’s School of Pharmacy is the nation’s top-ranked private school of pharmacy, so you are in very good hands. Our pharmacists are highly trained in the make-up and use of medications. They also consult with care providers to share drug expertise and ensure excellent patient care.

Patient Education and Medication Management

Our pharmacists work with you to manage your medication therapy. Their goal is for you to feel confident that you know when and how to take your medications. This starts with teaching you about your medications and the reasons you are taking them. Pharmacists can explain potential reactions and create a plan for when and how to take multiple prescriptions throughout the day. Because pharmacists are highly trained in the chemical make-up of drugs, they can tell you whether it is safe to use over-the-counter medications and natural therapies while taking your prescriptions.  By working with you to create a medication schedule, our clinical pharmacy team can make it easier to get the treatment you need as safely as possible.

QHC currently offers pharmacy services at the East 3rd Street and Hollywood locations. Visit the locations pages for pharmacy hours and more information.
