Dennis C. Benton

Vice President of Accounting and Finance

Dennis brings a track record of success at the intersection of operations and finance in the healthcare field in Southern California. His career has revolved around issues of quality, continuum of care, risk management and compliance, and capital planning. Prior to joining QHC, Dennis served as a consultant for a variety of companies, including an acute-care hospital, medical groups, and non-profit charitable organizations. Most recently, he was engaged with a private-equity firm helping with the acquisition and merger of two specialty medical groups and a surgery center. In his previous roles, Dennis led strategic planning and preparation of capital business cases that resulted in the approval, construction, and occupancy of five medical office buildings. He has over three decades of experience in accounting and finance and spent the last 17 years of his career with Kaiser Permanente in a variety of operational and finance roles.

Dennis holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting and a Bachelor of Science, Magna Cum Laude, in Economics from Brigham Young University. He also participated in an Advanced Leadership Program at the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School. Dennis also has a lot of volunteer leadership experience holding positions at numerous boards of directors for non-profit organizations throughout Southern California.
