LA Health Group Celebrates Natl. Health Center Week With Healthcare For The Homeless

QueensCare Health Centers Hollywood Offers Community Health Screenings and Collects Items for Homeless on August 15


WHO: QueensCare, a health care provider to low-income members of the Los Angeles community is celebrating National Health Center Week with free health screenings and a donation drive of essential items for the homeless.


WHAT: The Hollywood QueensCare Health Center Healthcare for the Homeless event will be taking place on August 15. Event will feature QueensCare’s Parish Nurses providing basic healthcare screenings for all who attend as well as collections of food, clothing and toiletries for the homeless. Donated items will be distributed the day of the event to Good Shepherd Center and the Los Angeles Mission.


National Health Center Week is an annual event that celebrates the work performed at these essential healthcare facilities throughout the US.


QueensCare Health Centers is a group of five community health centers that provide primary care health services to low-income and homeless individuals regardless of their ability to pay. QueensCare Health Centers are located in Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood, Eagle Rock, East LA and Echo Park. These facilities treat more than 24,000 Angelinos annually.
